Sweden: “Open Art” Lights up Örebro

We arrive in Örebro (pronounced Ore-brew) to the view of the castle, but wait, something is different. I do not remember this octopus/snake from last year.

Clearly, many surprises await us with Open Art, a citywide art installation that adorns Örebro June to August, 2015.

In between trips from Örebro to towns nearby, Lindesberg, Nora, Siggaboda, and more, where relatives were born, worked and lived, I visit the many wonderful art installations each day. So many stories of ancestors and places they lived and left. I welcome the creativity and levity that stretches my mind in different ways at the end of the day.

Here are some of my favorites. Enjoy!
